Established in 2019, You Matter University originated as a mere idea, like all things do. Demetrius Harmon, who had excelled academically as an honor roll student in middle school, faced significant challenges throughout high school. Struggling with depression, anxiety, and personal losses, school transformed from an educational tool to a burdensome experience. Consequently, Demetrius found himself navigating high school aimlessly, relinquishing his once cherished aspirations of attending prestigious institutions like UCLA, USC, U of M, or MSU. Despite this, Demetrius thrived in his creative endeavors and business ventures, leaving him feeling both like a failure and a success simultaneously.

As part of this project, I created Instagram stories and posts that effectively conveyed the essence and significance of "You Matter" University. Embracing a collegiate theme, I utilized college-style typography, designed crest logos, and incorporated various paper textures to evoke a natural aesthetic. Notably, this project aligned with Demetrius Harmon's noteworthy $25,000 annual scholarship collaboration with Scholly, amplifying the excitement and significance of the endeavor.
